A lecturer at Basra University presents a lecture on the birth of Imam Ali (peace be upon him)

    A lecturer at the College of Education for Women at the University of Basra, in coordination with the South Islamic Cultural Center, present a lecture on the occasion of the birth of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him).

    The lecture aims to highlight the scientific, intellectual and political role of Imam Ali (PBUH) and how the West addressed this role in their books and theses.

    The lecture presented by Assistant Lecturer Abbas Kassim Attiyah Al-Mariani included what Western historians had dealt with from the biography of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), his thought and knowledge, in addition to their perceptions of his political approach and the book Nahj al-Balagha which contained his rhetorical speeches.

    Al-Mariani stated that the lecture was part of a series of lectures presented by a number of academics to the South Islamic Cultural Center to celebrate his honorable birth, which falls on the 13th of Rajab.
