The College of Education for Girls / Women's Affairs Unit held an electronic seminar in cooperation with Dr. Noor Mahmoud Al-Abdali from the University of Baghdad / College of Education Bin Rushd entitled "Iraqi Women and Social Media... Opportunities and Challenges"

The webinar dealt with... The impact of social media on Iraqi women, as it included the number of opportunities and challenges that women reaped, as well as the development of skills and capabilities through joining and informing them of a group of workshops, seminars and electronic lectures,

The seminar touched on the negative effects of Iraqi women's use of social media, including the misuse of programs and the dissemination of private information, photos and details, which caused many women to be exposed to electronic blackmail, bargaining and problems that are indispensable.

The seminar recommended the need to activate and focus on the role of parents in following up and monitoring their children, and to develop a mechanism and specific steps that help women in how to use social media programs to achieve their benefit, as well as avoid harms.
