The University of Basra holds a theatrical work entitled “An Hour of Life” to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the university’s founding.

The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the College of Arts, held a theatrical work entitled “An Hour of Life” under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Girls, the respected Dr. Amal Muhammad Abdul Karim, and the Dean of the College of Arts, the respected Dr. Abdul Sattar Abdul Thabet Al-Baydani.

The play aimed to convey an important message about the reality of life. Life may be truly beautiful in its outward appearance, but the reality of life is difficult and painful, contrary to what minds imagine, with the realistic implications of life embodied in this play.

The play was written by the poet Daoud Al-Fraih, directed by Montazer Qasim Al-Moussawi, and the general supervision was Dr. Fadia Yaqoub Youssef.

In conclusion, the participants in the theatrical work were honored with letters of thanks and appreciation to the supervisors and teachers responsible for this work, and valuable prizes for the participating students.
