The College of Education for Women at the University of Basra organized a festival on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday and the coronation of Imam Mahdi (may God bless him and grant him peace).
The festival, which was organized by the Department of Arabic Language in the college, with the participation of the students of the department, included a speech by the Dean and a valuable lecture by one of the department’s teachers on the fragrant biography of the Prophet, referring to the memorial of the coronation of Imam Mahdi (may God bless him and grant him peace).
It also included a number of songs that sang the love of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his auspicious birth, in addition to a number of poems about the coronation of Imam Mahdi (may God bless him and grant him peace).
The festival was attended by the President of the University, Dr. Saad Shaheen, who in turn thanked the organizers of the festival and distributed certificates of appreciation to the participants.
