The Department of History at the College of Education for Women organized a scientific visit to the Basra Historical Museum.

The visit, which was accompanied by a number of the department's teachers, included informing the students of the chronology of the historical and civilizational roles of Mesopotamia through their wanderings in the museum exhibition halls, which started with the Sumerian roles, then Babylonian and Assyrian.

The students were also acquainted with the Mesopotamian civilization during the periods of the Achaemenid, Parthian and Sassanid occupation, as well as the antiquities of the city of Hatra through the archaeological finds displayed in the museum, and what these finds represent of historical value that evokes the depth of this country.
