University of Basrah organizes a symposium on self-discovery

College of Education for Women at University of Basrah organized an electronic symposium entitled “Mechanisms of Discovering Abilities in Ourselves”.

The symposium, which was presented by Dr. Hala Fatahi Kazem, a lecturer at the Center for Basra and Arabian Gulf Studies, focused on shedding light on the capabilities inherent in the human being, which would be the source of his true strength if he discovered and invested it. It also showed the meaning of self-development and when one can begin to develop oneself.

The symposium clarified the most important methods used to extract these abilities, the most important of which are meditation, curiosity, persistence, books, hobby and experience, through these self-discovery and turning failure into success.

The symposium touched on the types of latent capabilities, namely mental, cultural, and social capabilities, as well as the means of capacity building, namely, the discovery, development and investment of capabilities.
