University of Basrah organizes a symposium on terrorism and its repercussions and treatments.

College of Education for Women at  University of Basra held a symposium entitled (Terrorism in Iraq after 2003, its repercussions and ways to address it).

 The symposium organized by the Department of History touched on the definition of the term terrorism and its various causes, the most important of which are the internal causes, including socialization, psychological impulses, failure in education, the dissolution of the former Iraqi army, the Ministry of Information and the departments of military industrialization, and the poor performance of the political system after 2003, while the external causes are the intervention of the forces  international and regional.

 The symposium dealt with the impact of terrorism on the internal policy of the Iraqi government and how to confront it. The researchers discussed the economic effects of terrorism, as it is a dangerous source for the economies of many countries of the world, as well as the social and psychological effects that terrorism causes on society and those exposed to it from all groups.

 Finally, the researchers touched on ways to address terrorism through the establishment of international and regional conferences to combat terrorism, paying attention to academic studies on addressing terrorism in all respects, increasing intelligence information and paying attention to structuring the political system to confront terrorism, and studying the phenomenon of terrorism from time to time because it is a renewed phenomenon from time to time.
