The symposium, which was organized by the Department of History in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, was presented by Dr. Hassan Thajeb Muheel and Dr. Zainab Hamza Abbas, the concept of historical Sunan with its linguistic and intellectual definition, and the purpose behind historical Sunan by presenting characteristics in the form of facts, formulas and Qur’anic expression in which the Sunan was expressed  Historic.

The symposium presented a number of points, including that history has rules and laws, and that the issues of coincidence in history are the lack of knowledge of the causes of accidents, and that the issue of historical necessity does not contradict the freedom of man.  Likewise, man is the actor in the course of history and he is the one who controls the rise of civilization and is responsible for its change, development and deterioration.  In addition, history is not a narration, but rather with the narration, there must be an explanation and lessons should be drawn.
