University of Basrah wins first place in chess championship

 A team of University of Basrah students won first place in the Chess Championship organized by the University of Technology in Baghdad.

 The tournament started with the participation of 16 teams from different universities in Iraq, and after 7 rounds of competition, the Basra University team managed to win the championship and take first place.

 Among the participants was the student Heba Saeed Hashush from the College of Education for Women, Department of Arabic Language, who stated that the competition was difficult and enthusiastic between the participating universities and the Basra University team managed to win after several competitive rounds.
