University of Basrah hosts World Reading Day Festival

College of Education for Women at the University of Basra hosted the annual cultural festival for World Reading Day Under the slogan (By reading transcends minds and revive thought and awareness)

 The festival, which was held in cooperation with the Al-Mubalagat Al-Rasaliyat Complex, the Basra branch, included several paragraphs that included a cultural camp that included a book fair, a competition segment, read a book and own it, as well as jurisprudential competitions.

 The festival also included holding a cultural forum in Al-Zahra Hall (peace be upon her) that touched on the World Reading Day and its importance in our lives, and ways to activate and develop it in light of competition and crowding out of social media and the Internet and the challenges of modern technologies.

 During the festival, various prizes and books were distributed to the winners of the competitions, and its paragraphs were very popular among the students and professors of the University of Basra.
