A scientific study at the University of Basra examines the change in the pattern and duration of control of the phenomenon of pressureu closure

examined a scientific study prepared by Dr. Ahmed Jassem Al-Hassan from the College of Education for Women at the University of Basra entitled "Changing the pattern and duration of control over the phenomenon of pressure closure on the Mediterranean."

The study, which was published in the Journal of Garmian University in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, showed the phenomenon of high pressures controlling the Mediterranean region during the rainy season and its effects on the activity of atmospheric depressions.  .

The study concluded that there is an increase in the control of the North African highlands and a decrease in the control of the European highlands, which increases the cases of atmospheric stability and drought, and the weakness of the emergence of air depressions and the distance of their tracks from Iraq, and thus the decrease in the amounts of precipitation and the expansion of the drought area.
