University of Basrah organizes a seminar on World Father's Day
 The College of Education for Women at the University of Basra organized a symposium on the International Father's Day.

 The symposium, which was organized by the Educational Guidance Unit in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, dealt with axes on the main role of the father in the lives of children, who gives them interaction and gives them love, kindness and tenderness.

 The first axis presented by Dr. Hana Abdel Nabi Al-Abadi dealt with the absence of the father from the family and his duties in raising children causes disasters, so that some researches confirmed the existence of psychological problems, sexual deviations, weak personality and behaviors that are unacceptable in society due to the absence of the father. His presence in the lives of his children has implications.  Psychological and moral and derive from it values, morals and religion.

 The second axis presented by Dr. Tahani Anwar Al-Sareeh is that sound education requires joint guidance from both the mother and the father, as the responsibility of the father towards his children is not limited to material support only, as is the case now in many homes, they need from their father emotional and psychological support, and guidance  Advice is also given, so that they have a normal and balanced upbringing, as well as dealing with teenage children is more difficult compared to children, and it gets worse with the absence of the father from the picture.

 And the third axis presented by Dr. Rafif Abdel Hafez Al-Riyahi, in which she addressed the history and idea of ​​celebrating the International Father’s Day and how it was celebrated for the first time, and then talked about the role of the father in the family and its importance, and the virtue of the father in Islam and how we do the duty towards the father after his death, as well as suggestions for gifts  That is given to the Father on such a day.
