The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra participated in the international symposium on Orientalism and Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him).

The seminar, in which the teacher Abbas Qassem Attia from the History Department participated, and which was held by the Foundation for the War of the Prophets affiliated to the Hussainiya Holy Shrine, included Orientalism's interest in the Hussainiya renaissance, which took a wide space in their writings, and shed light on their personalities participating in this renaissance.

This symposium is in preparation for the international conference that will be held by the Foundation through nine axes dealing with the Husseini renaissance as the personality of the Imam (peace be upon him), his family and his companions, orientalists’ vision of Husseini rituals, monuments and monuments, as well as the literary and artistic studies of orientalists on the Husseini renaissance.
