This morning, a session of the University of Basra Council was held on Monday, July 3, 2023, at Al-Zahra Hall in the College of Education for Girls, in the presence of the respected President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and members of the University Council

The session opened with a vigil against the disgraceful act of burning the Holy Quran
During the session, the deans of the faculties whose assignments were completed were honored as an appreciation from the respected President of the University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, for their distinguished role in raising the name of the University of Basra high during the term of their administration.
Matters related to the university and the orders received from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research were also discussed, and the most important matters related to the scientific and administrative aspect to advance the university to the highest centers and classifications inside and outside Iraq were discussed.
