A scientific study at the University of Basra looking for Language-image Inter-semiotic Relations
in Iraqi EFL Textbooks
I researched a scientific study at the University of Basra, prepared by the lecturer, Assistant Professor, Dr. Alaa Abdul-Imam Al-Riahi, in the College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra, entitled Language-image Inter-semiotic Relations in Iraqi EFL Textbooks.
The study, published by the Journal of Sustainable Studies, showed the intertwined semiotic relations between image and language in the English language curricula as a second foreign language, and identified the multiple aspects of the cultural content in the English language curriculum in primary schools.
The study reached a positive impact for those interested in developing curricula and visual education.
