The University of Basra organizes a symposium on the International Day of the Blind

The Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, in cooperation with the Educational Guidance Unit and the Continuing Education Unit in College of Education for Women organized a symposium on the International Day of the Blind.

The symposium, which was presented by the two lecturers, Dr. Hana Abdel-Nabi Kabin and Dr. Sarah Ibrahim, addressed the definition of the International Day of the Blind and what we mean by the white cane, as well as the number of blind people in Iraq and the most important centers for them in Basra.
 
The symposium also discussed educational methods for the blind, such as writing, the nature of their educational curricula, and guidance methods for dealing with them, in addition to their most important rights and duties.
