A lecturer from Basra University publishes a research in an Arab journal
Hanaa Abdul-Ridha Al-Rubaie, a lecturer from the College of Education for Women at Basra University, published a research entitled “Nonverbal Communication in Arab Rhetorical Heritage: Roots and Extensions”.
The research focuses on an important issue, which is the undeniable effect of the sources of rhetorical heritage in establishing the concept of nonverbal communication. This is evident in the rhetoric’s view of meaning, intention and status. Thus, their contributions are clear in establishing an Arab nonverbal communication model including special application patterns which may exceed Modern Western nonverbal communication theories.
The research was published in the Algerian Journal “Al-Alamah”, which is an academic refereed bi-annual journal published by the Laboratory of Linguistics and Discourse, affiliated to the Faculty of Literature and Languages at Kasdi Merbah - Ouargla University in Algeria, This journal is concerned with linguistic studies and research development of discourse analysis.
