The University of Basra is implementing a tree planting campaign in college gardens and empty spaces

 The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra, under the direct supervision of Dr. Amal Muhammad Abdel Karim, Dean of the College, implemented a campaign to plant trees in the college’s gardens and empty spaces.

This campaign comes as a continuation of the initiative launched by the Governor of Basra and under the guidance of the President of the University for the purpose of combating desertification and sustaining the vegetation cover at the university.

The campaign included planting different types of trees and shrubs that have a high ability to withstand the hot conditions of Basra Governorate. The planting took place in different locations, and a number of college professors, employees, and students participated in this campaign.
