University of Basra organizes a seminar on supernatural time in the Qur’anic story
Organized the Arabic Language Department at the College of Education for Girls. A panel discussion entitled (The Extraordinary Time in the Qur’anic Story) presented by Dr. Salem Abdulnabi Al-Uqabi
The researcher defined the nature of supernatural time in the Qur’anic story as a miraculous time that removed the authority of relative time and disrupted it in several Qur’anic stories that were observed.
He addressed the duality of space and time in the Qur’anic text, demonstrating the miracle of the Holy Qur’an in dealing with unknown places and times that have their own laws and principles that control them, and which differ from our worlds.
He pointed out that a careful reading of the Qur’anic texts reveals the divisions of time in terms of its connections to cosmic landmarks, or as a cosmic sign closely linked to the sun and moon on the one hand, and to man on the other hand.
The researcher arrived at the miraculous classification of time in the Holy Qur’an, as it was divided into two basic times: an objective physical time independent of human consciousness, and a relative subjective time that is connected to human behavior in a fateful way through which the behavior of the Muslim person is evaluated by the creator of the discourse, who is God Almighty.
