A lecturer at the University of Basra publishes an article about the harms of psychological trauma in childhood

Dr. Rafif Abdel Hafez Al-Riahi, a lecturer at the College of Education for Girls, published an article entitled The Damage of Psychological Trauma in Childhood and Its Impact on Man in Old Age in Shawati Al-Thaqafiyya Magazine, issued by the University of Basra.

The article aims to know what are the causes of psychological trauma, what are its effects on the child, and how it affects him in adulthood.

The article discussed that when children are sometimes exposed to harm or mistreatment by others, whether the abuse is physical or psychological, which is often committed within the child’s own environment, this negatively affects their exposure to some psychological and personal disorders at the age stages.

The article found some treatment methods, including cooperation between the family and the school in protecting children from exposure to all forms of abuse and neglect in childhood.
