A lecturer from the College of Education for Girls participates in a symposium on economic violence against women, a crime and a tool

Dr. Rafif Abdel Hafez Al-Riahi, a lecturer in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, participated in the awareness symposium organized by the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basra. Economic violence against women is a crime and a tool.

The symposium aimed to introduce violence that seeks to ignore women, and that it is a form of discrimination between men and women that leads to the marginalization and weakening of women.

Al-Riahi touched on the issue of economic violence, which begins with the use of discriminatory methods in dealing with, raising, and acquiring skills, and in some cases, she is even deprived of a good education.
