Basra University organizes a seminar on the ability to replace negative thoughts with positive ones in light of the Corona pandemic.
The College of Education for Women at Basra University organized a seminar entitled "The Ability to Replace Negative Thoughts with Positive Ones in Light of the Corona Pandemic" in the presence of the lecturers of the Department of Psychological and Educational Sciences. The seminar, delivered by Dr. Hanaa Abdul Nabi Al-Abadi, a lecturer at the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, dealt with the negative aspects the individual is going through in light of the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, also how to replace negative thoughts with positive ones by following specific realistic methods to improve the psychological state in times when worries and pathological concerns intensify. International experts and specialists in psychology gathered and provided a set of scientific advice to help in dealing with psychological pressures in a better way.
Al-Abadi touched on a number of practices which reduce psychological anxiety, including: distracting attention from what troubles the individual and raises his fears, whether it is the outbreak of the new Corona virus or a change in the climate or other natural or human disasters, the practice of meditation that helps mindfulness in overcoming psychological pressures, as well as looking at things from a different perspective. The seminar aims to offer some solutions in order to get rid of the negative thoughts that increase anxiety and tension of some people and reach positive ideas which reduce mental disorders.
