University of Basra discusses a master’s thesis on the language of poetry by Ali Hassan Al-Fawaz

A master’s thesis was discussed in the College of Education for Girls, Department of Arabic Language, tagged (The Language of Poetry according to Ali Hassan Al-Fawaz) by the student Fatima Saleh Hassan.

The dissertation came in three chapters, preceded by an introduction and ending with a conclusion and the results of the research. The first chapter dealt with sound and its impact on the language of Ali Al-Fawaz’s poetry, rhythm and vocal rhyme structure, as well as vocal repetition and its types.

The second chapter included the syntactic structure of the sentence in Ali Al-Fawaz’s poetry, its types, imperative and non-demanding methods, as well as other linguistic phenomena represented by introduction, delay, deletion, and estimation.

The third chapter included the semantic structure, including the semantic purposes of the phenomenon of repetition in his poetry and the poet’s linguistic lexicalism, which was represented by non-Arabic words, historical words, and philosophical terms that emerged, in addition to the actual and stylistic lexicalization.
