The College of Education for Girls/Department of History at the University of Basra organized a scientific visit to the Old Basra Mosque/Khatwa Mosque of Imam Ali, “peace be upon him.”

The trip organized by the department professors with the female students of the second stage included a mention of the fragrant biography of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, his qualities and characteristics, and an explanation of the status and value of this archaeological and religious mosque.

The visit aimed to highlight the importance of this sacred religious and cultural edifice that characterizes Basra Governorate and is a shrine for many Muslims.
