The College of Education for Girls at Basra University held a scientific seminar on the World Day of the Arabic Language, in the presence of a number of specialists and researchers.
The seminar included working papers presented by a number of professors of the Arabic Language Department at the college dealing with the history of the Arabic language, its continuity and its progress between languages, and the many vocabulary and linguistic roots contained in its linguistic dictionaries, estimated at (12,000) linguistic roots.
The scientific seminar aims to demonstrate the importance of the Arabic language among world languages and its role in building Islamic and human civilization among other peoples.
