University of Basra holds a carnival entitled "Our Martyrs Are Leaders and Their Sacrifices Are Sovereignty" to commemorate the leaders of victory and resistance.

 

The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra held a carnival entitled "Our Martyrs are Leaders and Their Sacrifices are Sovereignty" under the supervision and guidance of the Deanship of the College of Education for Girls and in the presence of a number of officials, professors and employees to commemorate the martyrs of resistance and victory and support the people of Palestine and Lebanon.

The carnival included a recitation of the Holy Quran and a speech by the Dean of the College of Education for Girls, Dr. Amal Muhammad Abdul Karim, Mr. Representative Faleh Hassan Al-Khazaali, Mr. Assistant Governor for Legal Affairs Hassan Zahir Al-Najjar, and Mr. Nawfal Hashim Hamid, a member of the Basra Provincial Council. Poetic verses were recited in glorification of the heroism of the resistance and victory, and poetic hymns were sung in remembrance of the leaders. It included a theatrical performance in which a number of female students from the College of Education for Girls participated with a number of students from the College of Fine Arts at the University of Basra entitled "Hope of Return", embodying the reality of Palestine and the killing and destruction left behind by the Zionist occupation, and in it a call to mobilize the Arab nation towards the Palestinian cause as it is a humanitarian issue. In addition to the participation of the Rasul Scouts and Nasrallah Band in performing religious songs.

At the end, letters of thanks and appreciation were distributed to the participants in the carnival in appreciation of their efforts by the Dean of the College of Education for Girls.
