University of Basra organizes a symposium on "Domestic Violence is a Prevalent Phenomenon in Society".

 

Female lecturers at the College of Education for Girls participated in a symposium on "Domestic Violence is a Prevalent Phenomenon in Society" held by the College of Engineering at the University of Basra.

The symposium aimed to raise awareness among university circles about the phenomena of violence in society and its impact on mental health, poor adjustment, and reaching a state of anxiety, depression, fear, anxiety, and psychological stress, which generates children who are poorly adapted and incompatible with themselves and society.

The symposium, in which Dr. Hana Abdul Nabi Kaban and lecturer Duaa Muhammad Khalifa from the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences lectured, included the phenomenon of domestic violence and the effects of its spread and its repercussions on society.

The symposium recommended a number of recommendations, including the use of modern therapeutic methods and the preparation of programs directed at combating violence and paying attention to curricula and their role in highlighting family rights.
