University of Basra holds a realistic academic scientific workshop entitled "Mistakes and Difficulties Facing Students in Writing Research in Humanities"

 

The College of Education for Girls, Continuing Education Unit, held a realistic academic scientific workshop entitled "Mistakes and Difficulties Facing Students in Writing Research" Humanities" within the mechanism of cooperation between academic universities under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Girls, Dr. Amal Muhammad Abdul Karim, in cooperation with the University of Kufa - College of Education and the Continuing Education Unit and the Women's Affairs Unit represented by its head, Assistant Professor Dr. Aithar Al-Mayahy.

The workshop included several axes related to the methodology of scientific research, starting from the title to the list of sources, under the supervision of Dr. Amal Mahdi.

Dr. Aithar Al-Mayahy addressed the meaning of scientific research, its skills, levels, methods, and the basic objectives of a solid scientific research project, as well as the types of scientific research, the basic chapters of research work, and the procedures necessary for solid research work. She stressed the need for university students to practice research skills Scientific and avoid mistakes and difficulties when writing, especially in graduation research and master's and doctoral theses.

The other lecture was given by Dr. Issa Saad Issa and talked about how to document paper and electronic references according to the modern APA system. And directing students to follow the modern style in documentation.

The workshop recommended that those concerned take into consideration increasing awareness of research requirements and using research strategies and methods to develop students' skills to avoid difficulties and errors. And intensifying efforts in holding academic training workshops for such work.
