The master's thesis at the College of Education for Girls in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the University of Basra discussed "Psychological foundations of curricula and their relationship to mental toughness among middle school students".

The thesis presented by the student Nour Mahdi Dawood aimed to show the level of psychological foundations in curricula among middle school students. And the significance of differences in psychological foundations among middle school students according to the gender and branch variable (scientific-literary) with a statement of mental toughness among middle school students.

The thesis included building two tools, the first to measure the level of consideration of sixth grade curricula for psychological foundations and was built after presenting an open survey questionnaire to a random sample of the research community. The second tool was built based on the four-dimensional Clough model to measure the level of mental toughness among the research sample. After they were presented to experts and statistical analysis was carried out and the results appeared, the correlation between the two variables (psychological foundations of curricula and mental toughness) was measured.
