The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra organized a discussion session for a master's thesis entitled "The impact of pollution on the development of agricultural soil in Al-Qurna District".
The discussion session, in which the student Nours Adnan Ayoub in the Department of Geography explained, aimed to demonstrate the importance of developing agricultural soil in Al-Qurna District as it helps in improving the economic and social reality of Basra Governorate in general and Al-Qurna District in particular, especially since Al-Qurna District possesses the elements of development represented by the availability of surface water, vast lands and the workforce.
The discussion session included identifying the thesis plan and its axes, and after collecting and analyzing a number of soil samples in different areas within Al-Qurna District and what are the appropriate solutions to reduce these pollutants that hinder the development process in order to improve the reality of agricultural soil in Al-Qurna District.
