The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra conducted a scientific field visit to the Meteorology Department at Basra International Airport for second-year students, accompanied by professors from the Department of Geography.

The students listened to a detailed explanation by the department's employees, which included the department's tasks within the airport to ensure the safety of navigation, flight operations, weather monitoring devices, map viewing, and monitoring within 24 hours.

The students' inquiries were answered about weather phenomena, methods of measuring and encoding them, and the devices used for this.
