The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra, Department of Geography, organized a scientific trip to Al-Faris farms in Al-Zubair district for third-year female students in the subject of agricultural geography taught by Professor Dr. Ibrahim Ali Diwan. It included explaining the method of agriculture using the sprinkler and drip irrigation system, the method of planting tissue palm seedlings, how to add organic fertilizers and aerial rooting of seedlings, in addition to irrigation with artesian wells and open wells. The tissues of sandy mixed soil and methods of plant propagation and agricultural cuttings were also explained.

The aim was for the students to benefit from these observations as important practical lessons after the farm officials gave a detailed explanation about it.
