A scientific study at the University of Basra examines "The Orientalist Henri Lammens's Slanders Against Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her)."

The study, prepared by Abbas Qasim Attia al-Mariani, a lecturer at the College of Education for Girls, Department of History, aimed to shed light on the orientalist Henri Lammens's slanders against Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) in his book, Fatima and the Daughters of Muhammad (a Critical Study).

The study demonstrated Henri Lammens's fanatical stance toward the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his family, particularly Lady Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), and responded to his extremist views from both Shiite and Sunni schools.

The study concluded that his book is a series of slanders not based on a sound scientific methodology, and that his methodology has been criticized by a number of his peers.
