The College of Education for Women / Department of History at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the reform movement of Imam Ja’far Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), tracing its historical development and examining its impact on the Islamic social structure.
The seminar aimed to highlight that Imam Al-Sadiq’s reform movement was a process of reform “from within society.” He (PBUH) focused on building individuals, (thought), and scientific institutions rather than engaging in direct political confrontation. One of the key outcomes of this movement was transforming the group from a protest-oriented trend into a stable intellectual and social school, which has significantly influenced Islamic civilization in both scientific and jurisprudential fields up to the present day.
The seminar was delivered by:
Asst. Prof. Buthaina Adel Imran
Asst. Prof. Mohammed Hassan Ubaid
Lecturer Doaa Adnan Ramadan
Assistant Lecturer Alaa Hassan Tuaima
