The University of Basrah Council held its fifteenth open morning session, chaired by Dr. Aqeel Fadhil Al-Dahan, with the attendance of the Assistant Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the Council Secretary, and its members.

The session addressed a number of directives issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the University Presidency’s plans to enhance academic performance and advance scientific research.

The Council also reviewed several items on its agenda, including scientific and administrative matters, mechanisms for developing scientific research, and issues concerning postgraduate and undergraduate students. The necessary decisions were taken in accordance with approved ministerial regulations and instructions.

Dr. Al-Dahan emphasized the University’s continued efforts to achieve advanced levels of academic quality, noting that the outcomes of the University Council’s meetings contribute to improving scientific and administrative performance, strengthening the research environment, and enhancing the standing of the University of Basrah among leading global universities.
