In commemoration of the Hussaini tradition and in tribute to symbols of resistance and dignity, the College of Education for Women held a memorial ceremony yesterday marking the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

The ceremony was held under the patronage and in the presence of the College Dean, Prof. Dr. Amal Mohammed, with the participation of faculty members, administrative staff, and a large number of the College’s students.

The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the recitation of Al-Fatiha in remembrance of the martyr and the souls of the martyrs, and the playing of the national anthem.

In her speech, the Dean highlighted the values and lessons drawn from the martyr’s life and emphasized that commemorating such figures contributes to fostering the values of dignity, resilience, and awareness among younger generations.

The ceremony also featured a number of speeches and poems expressing the meanings of sacrifice and loyalty and recalling the martyr’s legacy and lasting impact.

The ceremony concluded with prayers asking Almighty God to grant the martyr His abundant mercy and admit him into His spacious Paradise.
