Basra University organizes a lecture on security and safety measures in laboratories

 The College of Education for Women at Basra University organized an electronic lecture on safety and security in biological laboratories.

 The lecture aims to warn workers in biological laboratories of the dangers of the materials used in these laboratories and the ways to prevent them in order to preserve their safety.

 The lecture given by Dr. Alaa Hussein Hassan, an instructor at Al-Farabi University College, included that the medical and biological laboratories dealing with infectious substances must follow the biological safety represented by the safe work methods practices associated with dealing with biological materials, and follow specific guidelines for infection control.

 In addition, laboratory personnel must take standard precautions to reduce the risk of infection, as well as provide a safe environment for them.
