 A lecturer at the College of Education for Women at the University of Basra participates in a symposium on enhancing cooperation on climate security and the environment

 Dr. Ahmed Jassim Al-Hassan, a lecturer in the Department of Geography, participated in a symposium on enhancing cooperation on climate security and the environment, which was held by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Iraq, in cooperation with the Kelkendal Institute, within the Planetary Security Initiative project.

 Al-Hassan said that the symposium dealt with issues of climate change, desertification, water problems, internal displacement and ways to address them, in addition to addressing the deterioration of life in southern Iraq due to these problems.
