Basra University organizes an electronic lecture on comparative education, emergence and development
The College of Education for Women at the University of Basra organized an electronic lecture on comparative education, its emergence and development

The lecture, which was presented by Dr. Amal Al-Arabawi from the Arab Republic of Egypt, dealt with comparative education as a relatively newly formed human science. This science aims to analyze the various phenomena, concepts and relations of education with the social, political, economic and cultural framework by comparing the similarities and differences in two or more countries.

The lecture dealt with the fact that educational researchers date the birth of comparative education to 1817 by Marc Antoine Julien of Paris, who published a book on comparative education in which he laid the general foundations and rules that make comparative education an objective science that is not subject to the influence of personal opinions.
