Basra University organizes an electronic lecture on psychosomatic diseases

The College of Education for Women at the University of Basra organized an electronic lecture on psychosomatic diseases.

The lecture, which was organized by the Continuing Education Unit at the college and presented by the pharmacist Safa Al-Ajili from the UAE, dealt with the common psychosomatic disorder, which leads to an imbalance in the functions of the body arising from psychological factors, and this in turn leads to physical changes that the person suffers from.

Al-Ajili added that the changes in the body include an increase or decrease in the secretions of some organs such as the stomach, or blood vessels may expand or contract, and these changes are temporary in the beginning and then turn into permanent changes.
