Basra University organizes an electronic symposium on Arab youth and the transformations of the virtual world
The College of Education for Women at the University of Basra organized an electronic
symposium entitled Arab youth and the transformations of the virtual world.
The symposium dealt with social change, which is a general phenomenon and a distinctive
feature of human societies, as it expresses a structural transformation that occurs in society in its demographic structure, systems, institutions,
social phenomena, and relations between its members, and the attendant changes in values,
trends and different patterns of behavior, which are an essential pillar of Pillars of the cultural
system of societies.
The symposium touched on the succession of economic, social, political and cultural changes in societies in general during the past few decades, which led to fundamental changes in the structure and functions of various social institutions, and the effects of these transformations appeared tangibly in society, but their pace accelerated with the passage of society with major transformations and the demand of young people By changing its reality.
The seminar reached several recommendations, including:
Reconsidering the role of upbringing tools such as: the family, the school, and the university, to instill positive values expressing the personality, and the need to develop education in terms of quality and quality, and to develop an ethical and educational charter for the various media, whose priorities are to preserve identity and unity among the people, protect societal values, and multiply From scientific seminars and educational programs aimed.
It is worth noting that the symposium was in partnership with the International Forum "ENAS", the Laboratory of Society and Religion at the University of Algiers, and the German Konrad Edenhauer Foundation.
