Directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding exams
With the final exams approaching, the Minister of Higher Education directs the presidents and deans of all public and private universities and colleges as follows:
Exam questions are clear and included in the curriculum.
Examination halls shall be prepared in terms of cleanliness and the requirements for performing exams for students.
The halls must be appropriate in terms of student numbers and social distancing.
Vacuuming classrooms before and after exams.
The councils of departments, branches, colleges and universities are in continuous session.
The examination committees periodically inspect the needs of the examination halls.
Preparing drinking water, masks and sterilizers in the examination hall.
Correction of examination books is done within the scientific departments and branches, and delivery and receipt are made according to regular records.
It is preferable that the exams be according to the stages, through a distribution that ensures that student gatherings are not overcrowded.
It is preferable not to resort to exam halls on the second floor in two-story buildings, except when necessary, provided that they are air-conditioned and have adequate ventilation.
Floating examination halls between colleges and benefiting from that.
- The presence of the observers in advance of an appropriate period in the examination halls.
The university presidency, assistants, faculties’ deans, assistants and heads of departments and branches must make periodic visits to the halls during the examination period and submit a daily situation to be presented to the university president.
Student discipline committees are in continuous session throughout the examination period.
- Providing generators and fuel, as well as periodic follow-up from the Diwan Affairs, Maintenance and Services Division and Department in the department, college and university.
Presence of civil defense and work with occupational safety procedures before and after official working hours, and preparing all requirements.
- Commitment to the circulars issued by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority regarding the internal departments and to prepare for that.
The health centers in the universities are responsible and prepare the requirements and are in a constant state of presence during the exams.
Universities that do not have health centers require coordination with health departments and the creation of a medical team at the university.
