
A scientific study at University of Basra examines Orientalism, its origins and motives.
An examined a scientific study at University of Basra prepared by the two teachers, Rahim Helou Muhammad and Abbas Kassim Attia, at the College of Education for Women, entitled Orientalism, its origins and motives.
The study, which was published in the Journal of Research in Educational, Human and Social Sciences, issued by the Ramah Center in Jordan, showed that Orientalism is one of the important intellectual studies that provoked a lot of controversy.
The study also dealt with the beginnings and emergence of Orientalism and the reasons that led to the adoption of this term and the motives behind its appearance.
The study concluded that the topics of Orientalism are among the important studies that attempted to understand the Islamic heritage.
