Publication a book for Lecturer at the University of Basra on the geography of cities
A lecturer at the College of Education for Women at the University of Basra, Dr. Mortada Muzaffar Al-Kaabi, has issued a book
titled Geography of Cities (Curriculum - Foundations - Applications).
The book, which included (437) pages, divided into (15) chapters, It light on three axes (the methodology of cities - foundations
and mathematical equations - field applications).As the first axis dealt with all Theoretical concepts addressed by the mothers of
books in the field of urban geography, When the second axis represented the most important mathematical equations used in the
geography of cities, such as calculating the annual growth rate, future forecast, service standards ... etc., while the third axis dealt
with field applications, as the author was interested in extrapolating all letters and theses that were concerned with the geography of cities in an applied manner.
The book extracted the most important applied studies for selected cities and for all the governorates of Iraq, which is a new way
to introduce the geography of cities into the field of applied scientific studies on the one hand, and to move away from the theoretical
approach adopted in the geography of cities on the other hand.
