Basra University organizes a visit to the National Orphanage for the care of orphans
The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra organized a visit to the National Orphanage to take care of orphans.
The visit aimed to see the educational aspect that is provided to orphans, and to know their conditions, ways of living, and services provided to them, as well as moral and material support.
   The visit included the director of the home, who mentioned that the number of orphans who are present is (40) orphans, (28) males and (12) females, who receive their education and educational lessons in government schools on a regular basis, and some of them have reached the university level and completed their studies there, and she added that some Those who reached the age of puberty, the home worked to marry them off and they had families who lived independent lives.
 At the end of the visit, Mrs. Alaa Abdul-Imam Al-Riyahi, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, distributed some in-kind gifts to orphans donated by the college to them, in addition to a number of orphans providing wonderful artistic activities.
