The College of Education for Girls at the University of Basra organized a symposium on psychological preparation entitled (Psychological and educational preparation for entering the new academic year).
The symposium, which was organized by the Continuing Education Division in cooperation with the Psychological Counseling Unit, was presented by each of the Prof. Dr. Rafif Abdul Hafez Muhammad Taqi Al-Riyahi.

 The symposium aimed to identify the differences between school life and its difference from university life, what the university has achieved for us, the difference between a university professor and a teacher, as well as the standards of the proper relationship between teachers and students, as well as the relationship of female students among them.
The symposium included identifying the psychological pressures that lead to the causes of university failure and what are the steps that must be taken to relieve psychological pressure.
The symposium recommended the role of the family in preparing its children for study and what are the ideas, beliefs and perceptions that the student must prepare psychologically for the start of the new school year.
