The participation of the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs at the College of Education for Girls in a workshop on the psychological and social effects of drug abusers in the Psychiatric Care Center

Assistant Professor Dr. Shatha Abdel-Latif Al-Hamdoun participated in a workshop at the Educational Counseling and Psychological Care Center entitled (Psychological and Social Effects of Drug Users in the Psychological Care Center)
The workshop dealt with the problem of drugs, which has become an obsession of society and security forces and preoccupies the minds of many social institutions from the family, the school and the university, because it will be a cause of wasting and losing the energy and future of youth and thus society as a whole.
The study concluded that the most important reasons that drive students to drug use are imitation of friends and the pursuit of gaining their trust and appreciation, in addition to family problems and academic pressures.
And among the results reached by the workshop is the inclusion in the educational program of these problems as an educational subject from the beginning of university education and the establishment of awareness workshops and seminars for students and also the conduct of clinical examinations every six months to distinguish drug abusers and control them
