A scientific symposium in the College of Education for Girls entitled (Drugs and their impact on the individual and society)

The Psychological Counseling Unit, in cooperation with the Division of Continuing Education in the College of Education for Girls, held a symposium entitled (Drugs and their impact on the individual and society)
The symposium included two axes, the first was delivered by the head of the Division of Continuing Education, Assistant Professor Rafif Abdel-Hafiz Al-Riahi, about drugs, their definition, types, reasons for their abuse, and the role of the family in prevention and maintaining awareness and protecting them from falling victim to bad friends or drug dealers, and then their involvement in crimes or organized gangs
In the second axis presented by the head of the Psychological Counseling Unit, Prof. Dr. Hana Abd al-Nabi al-Abadi, the goal is to prevent drug addiction by using psychological counseling and family, educational and religious guidance.
The symposium showed that the most important methods of prevention are awareness and advice, gaining the trust of children in their families, helping them overcome their problems, especially in adolescence, and warning students not to take any medical drug without consulting a doctor, and to ensure food and drink in the internal departments, kiosks and cafes.
