A training course was held in the Division of Continuing Education in the College of Education for Girls, tagged with (the harms of drug abuse among adolescents and ways to prevent them) for a period of 3 days and within the visiting professor program in joint cooperation between the College of Education for Girls - University of Basra and the Directorate of Education of Baghdad First Rusafa / Department of Education North Baghdad
The training course delivered by the lecturer, assistant teacher Saif Jassim Muhammad Ali, aimed at explaining the harmful effects of drugs and their abuse on the individual and society.
  The course included several axes, summarized as follows: 1- Introduction 2- Psychological and social development 3- Substance abuse in adolescents 4- Definition of some terms (drugs – abuse – habituation – addiction – addict) 5- Psychotropic substances and their harm 6- Factors and causes of drug abuse 7- How to identify drug abusers 8- Types of drugs 9- Signs of drug abuse 10- Harms of drug abuse 11- Methods of prevention and treatment
