A master's thesis at Basra University explores woman in the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant.

The Media of the College of Education  for Women.

   A master's thesis was examined  in the College of Education for Women at Basra University. The thesis was entitled “Woman in the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant from the Eighth Century BC to the Second Century AD” presented by the student Ashjan Hameed Abdullah.

  The study included research of a substantial stage in the life of Arab woman. Sculptures and historical studies emphasized the importance of woman in this historical stage, as she proved her success  in ascending political, social, and religious positions in the Levant and the Arabian Peninsula.

   The thesis contained three chapters. The first chapter showed the role of woman in administration and governance. The second chapter dealt with her cultural role and the achievements she presented in this field. The third chapter presented her role in religious life. The thesis recommended supporting such studies to show the cultural, intellectual, and social role of woman in various eras.
